time and transport fee to visit any single other mclinc facility. At least there you’ll be treated with respect and dignity. So here’s the “:)” you find appropriate to clap back at a citizen, truly concerned about the future of a vital public service. Again, shameful tact for a place with a service model making walmart look like a hero.
I thought that this was supposed to be a library since it is the Horsham Township Library, not a town hall meeting. I had to move my location 3 times in the three and a half hours I was set to study there. I don't mind the children running around, but when adults come to the library to just sit and talk on the phone, that's where I draw the line. I was sitting on the OPPOSITE SIDE of the building of the librarian's desk, yet I could still hear the librarians themselves chatting and laughing clear as day. If Horsham wanted to have a rec center where people can meet and hang out with other families, they shouldn't have built a library.
The response speaks for itself. This petty, laughable, motley crew is far less than this town deserves. I’m not sure how such a bizarre, mashup of suburban sycophants stumbled into the role of arguably the most important public servents to the community, but the house of cards masquerading as a library won’t last. So please, continue dragging Google reviews with smiley faces and subtle digs at people as if “not your mother’s library” is anything less than a circus. If you’re desperate for a book, and I cant put into words how important that need may be for those most down and out, pay the extra
*UPDATE:
Aesthetically the library is beautiful. However, it is a very noisy library. When I go there to study I have to sit with my earbuds in with no music to help drown out the noise.
Nice library but hard to get newer releases without being on a long waiting list. My first visit to the library I brought my 13 year old son with me so we could both get library cards. The older woman behind the desk - I don't know her name, told me that she strongly advised against getting my son his own library card and went on to give me her reasoning behind it which made no sense to me at all. On his first day of middle school, one of the recommendations mentioned in the packet sent home regarding school info was to get a library card! I've never heard of discouraging a child of any age to get a library card. At our next visit I just went to another staff member who issued a card to my son, no problem. This woman needs to keep her ridiculous opinions to herself!
A lovely building and very friendly service. A++++
All of the amenities you’d expect from a place that calls themselves “not your grandmother’s library.” Do you need absolutely no outlets? A total of three private quiet study spaces, out of order bathrooms, screaming and running kids? What about discriminatory front desk workers or belligerently rude librarians? If this sounds like the library you want to study at, this is the place for you. It astounds me that anyone’s, let alone my, tax dollars is deserving of going to this place. No place to (maybe I’m misunderstanding the purpose of a library now) read, study, or browse in peace. Shame on you, and all of your workers, Horsham Library.
